I live just outside of Mt. Rainier National Park which is several hours drive from Seattle where I escaped from 35 years ago.My wife Janet (Fawn) and I have a cabin rental business,www.deepforestcabins.com, on 20 acres of forest adjoining the park. It's a magnificently beautiful place which we are very passionate about. During the winter, we love to travel in warm climates for several months to immerse in other cultures and stretch our psyches a bit. We're currently enamored with S.E. Asia having just returned from Cambodia and Vietnam. Bali was a large part of our life for many years and we are still close to several families there. I've had a powerful draw to expand my horizons from a very early age having weathered a full gamut of hippy vagabondage/ psycho-cosmonaut counterculturalization which segued naturally enough into a fairly ferocious spiritual seach. I “bumped” into Gangaji in Indonesia one year and spent the next six tight in her orbit. Then spent five years studying John Deruiter . Always for me with these teachers, there was a distinct lack of integration in the emotional-psychological dimensions in their message that led me to wander off away from the inevitable cultism and groupthink that they seemed to devolve into. I've recently harkened unto Robert Augustus Masters which is resonating strongly with what I found lacking in spiritual teachers of yore, a powerful sensible grasp of human psychcological dynamics. We attended one of his Breakthrough workshops last weekend in Ashland and witnessed the fluid grace of his deep diving insight. Which in turn has brought me to this Gaia site to follow his dialogues.Cool!
